I like the look of my old candlesticks, but I don’t appreciate having to babysit real candles or risk setting off the oversensitive smoke detector. Electric candles have never done it for me either; they’re like laminate wood flooring, you can always tell they’re not the real thing. So, I came up with an idea for a custom, low-energy LED bulb that fits standard 7/8-inch taper candlesticks and offers a more authentic, distinctive glow.
